Dot Porter, Curator, Digital Research Services at the University of Pennsylvania Library, offers a video orientation to Penn Library’s LJS 254, Buch von den probierten Kü̈̈nsten, by Franz Helm. This manuscript was written in Germany, some time after 1562, in German, and it is an illustrated treatise on gunpowder and artillery; probably a copy of an early recension of Franz Helm’s work Buch von den probierten Kü̈̈nsten that first appeared between 1527 and 1535
