Dear medievalists,
As you consider your submissions for MAA 2019, I hope you will take note that you may propose a “poster, paper, full session, or workshop that explores the role and uses of digital technologies.” (The full Call for Papers is here)
Given the strength of Digital Humanities at Penn, particularly with the work of the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies, we are very keen to organize a group of introductory workshops, aimed at medievalists at all levels who are interested in incorporating digital tools and approaches to their work.
If you have used a particular tool or approach in your own work, and you would like an opportunity to teach other people, please consider proposing a workshop. If you have a digital project you’d like to have reach a wider audience, please consider proposing a poster. (If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of a poster session, this blog post is a good description of how they function and what they are good for)
Please feel free to email me with any questions. The Program Committee looks forward to considering your proposals. Thank you!
